I did see that comment and know it usually isn't the case with the likes of Scoobies etc. But I remember Gaz had to change his brakes so maybe its not always the case (?)

Yes, UK spec Supra TTs are better. Better brakes, turbo, 326bhp, oil pump (IIRC).
