Nissan signals the end of the road for Datsun cars
Discussion
I looked at one of the Datsun's in Indonesia when my wife wanted a new car. It wasnt bad, and would have been ok for the roads there, but we ended up with a Honda HRV. There was a small 7 seater which is ideal for the Indonesian market, its a shame they weren't more successful. Funnily enough, people love Daihatsu's love there - they are everywhere !

I always thought the Datsun name would have been good to keep for the Z cars. Datsun 350 / 370 Z has a bit of a ring to it I reckon.
Funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing yesterday (while watching a couple of 240Zs howling round Snetterton in an HSCC race). Datsun would have made a great sub-brand for the interesting performance stuff. The Nissan badge first appeared in the UK on the Stanza and it didn't get any better after that.
