I twice owned the same Mitsubishi Lancer 200 Turbo PAJ 123X, that originated from Oakleys garage in West Aukland Co. Durham

Howe could I find out its current state. and of the owner is willing t sell it?

Looks like it is tucked away somewhere, now SORN’d with last MoT in 2007.

Owners’ club is probably a good starting point. The Mitsubishi Lancer Register may be helpful, although the focus tends to be on Evolution models.

Good luck

Last MOT was 2007 so I’d wager it’s probably long dead by now.

It was discussed here in 2005 though

MLR is exactly the right place as the EX2000 was the car that started it.. All the Evo owners came later.

I have a lancer turbo, and have owned one since 1991.

I still have all the old LTR mags that Darin (who started the MLR in the former guise of the LTR) issued which lists the names and details of the owners at the time, so I’ll dig them out to see if the original owner sold it on. It’ll also have the chassis number listed.

My gut is telling me that PAJ might still be “alive” somewhere, because there are several which are SORN or just sat around awaiting restoration. For example, a guy contacted me who has owned his lancer since new, never been on the register and had sat in his garage since 1992 gathering dust until last year.

The people who will know can be found on the MLR forum, in the EX2000 sub forum, the likes of “Zed” who used to race them in the Toyo tyres championship in the 90’s will probably know the history of it and maybe where it is now.

Sorry, off topic but I didn’t buy a metallic green one for £895 from a used car dealer near Berkhamstead in 2002. How I regret that.
I came home in a Mercedes 190E instead rolleyes

Would have resprayed then, they only came in black or white, well, there was the PWO and PWB options which were white / orange (mine) or white / black.
£895 would have been a steal!!

Really? I didn’t know that. It had the turbo decals and everything. 79k miles. I remember it well, but I was looking for a “motorway car”. Silly me!
