Are they worth the bother?

Or is it a bit like buying a Skyline GTS when really the only one worth having is a GTR*? ;)

*Or possibly a GTS-T

A bit like buying an NA MR2 when you could have the full fat Turbo?

Oi, I bought a GTS!

I guess it depends if you want to modify or not. If not, or if you don't want the temptation it's probably fine. A 3 litre n/a car should still be nippy enough, I would have thought?

Yeah definitely worth buying, but then i am slightly biased, as i have one. Great car, and a steal for the prices they go for (circa £5k). Sound great, are quick, despite what the TT mob say, and you still get people looking. Only down side is they are all JDM, so insurance is actually higher than a UK TT, go figure. My advice is to test drive one and see how you get on with it. Can't hurt.

I would regret it the moment I bought one, as I'd very quickly get used to the performance. I'd end up wishing I'd bought a twin turbo. Really can't see the point in them when TTs are so cheap...

The really old wedge shape are 3.0ltr n/a & UK, yes?
They go for absolute peanuts! Its a given that a turbo is the way to go but a straight 6,3.0 ltr n/a quality lump is nothing to sneeze at,imo naturally

Ah but I was 19!

I personally think a n/a Soop would be a regretable purchase.

The MR2 wasn't at first, but right now it seems soooooo slow.

Gorgeous blue tubby on PH classifieds for 6k.

Tempted, but would rather hang on for something other than an MR2.
