Hi all,

I am thinking of looking at a Subaru from a private vendor and was thinking about getting it inspected before purchase.

Has anyone used RAC or similar for the inspection of a Subaru or would I be better taking it to a local Subaru dealer? The car in question is a Legacy.

Many thanks in advance,
Phil.

I used the AA to inspect mine, but this service is no longer offered.

I thought it was worth it. I managed to get the seller to get it looked at (briefly) at the Subaru Garage too.

Why not get a local scooby specialist to take a look at it?

My local Subaru dealer gave me a very thorough inspection for free. It was only supposed to be 30 quid anyway! The report was very thorough and picked up a few things, which I haggled off my private purchase price. I also did an HPI over the phone too before handing over the loot.
