Had a silver GPX and a black GPvR
Great cars but rot like bds. I’d buy another v6 in a heartbeat but there are almost none left.
They’ve all fallen to pieces.
The ftooc used to be a great club. We used to do tunnel runs round London - 20 odd FTOs driving round town. Had an HKS super-Drager on my GPX, sounded great in a tunnel.
Best of luck with it - but check the chassis for decay. It will be there somewhere.

Yes I owned one of these back in the day. What a lovely car. Smooth reliable 2.0 V6. Never missed a beat, easy to drive, comfortable, quick, great auto box. Unfortunately it was written off when the car park at the railway station was flooded when the river burst its banks. Just watch for rust of course.

I agree back in the day they were great, we had one of the very first cars to be imported, a chap we knew dealt with what were called grey imports then.My wife drove it for about 8 years and never any problems. Our local MOT station where the chap who ran it couldn't get over the quality of components underneath the car. I loved driving it too, futuristic looking car for the time.
I got one back in 02 or 03, can't remember which. I had so little knowledge about cars back then, I paid 6k for it, then £2200 per year insurance. Turned out it was a GS with the 1.8 engine with a 4 speed tiptronic box. Fitted 18s to it. Was so slow but damn I had some fun in that car. Stuffed it into a roundabout when it went straight on whilst I tried to turn, ripping the alloy off. Was known as the FTSlow to my friends at the time, beaten by a Saxo Furio in a 1/4 mile drag race.
