Welcome to PH.

The width of the two tyres sizes is similar so I would think the tyres would physically fit on the wheels okay.(you should really check the rim widths to be sure though).

The issue that needs to be checked first though is will the Mazda 5 wheels fit on your bongo? The stud pattern needs to match and the centre hole size needs to be the same. If this is okay then you need to check the offset is okay, this is how far inboard or outboard the wheels sit in relation to the hub and is given as a et number.

Do you know the wheel sizes for the bongo and the Mazda 5? They are often written on the wheels somewhere and look like 6.0 x18 et40 [made up numbers].

The tyres will fit on the wheels.

The Mazda 5 wheels on your bongo will have the inner face 12.3mm closer to the suspension, so you need to look and see if there is sufficient clearance. (The outer face of the wheels will be in the same location).

The wheels also need to have the same stud pattern and centre bore size. Easily measured if you can’t find that info anywhere.

I have tried the alloys they fitt but the tyres look small and the weight of the bongo is much greater thats the reason why I was thinking to keep the original tyre size if it will fitt on the mazda 5 alloys

Definitely put the original tyre size on the new wheels.
The original tyres size will fit without issue on the Mazda 5 wheels.
