I first thought it was the usual reminder to get the Bimta/Jevic certs etc

However, its the broader issue of trust here, I have no issues buying direct knowing that the chances are good with the history of the car in Japan, however, I would be suspicious of most dealers re-selling as I know how easy it would be to falsify

You can also search for previous history in some places using the chassis number to check older auction sheets as of course it can vary
