Hello everyone.

I have finally been forced to open the bonnet on the MR2 today as the power steering has failed and the warning light has blinked on.

I was hoping to check the oil level but can not find the reservoiur anywhere, can anyone let me know where it is?

I have tried the owners handbook which is as much use as a chocolate tea pot.

By the way it is a 1994 u.k spec non turbo model

its under the trim that sits under the spare wheel.

try flicking the ignition on and off about 20 times without starting the car. the contacts on the powersteering relay can get burnt over time and need cleaning. the repeated on/off cleans them up.

That trick worked for me, much cheaper than a new PAS relay too, which is more than £100 IIRC!
