You havent lived until youve had at least 5 different codes recorded mate....

Yesterday completed the installation of a 3SGE into a 3SFE Mr2....with extra added faults and loverly ecu wiring harness problems! Now THAT was fun and a cause for a whine!

Goes like a rocket too...most surprised i was.

Hows the Four going anyway? And did you sort out the abs niggles?

Going well. New brakes are quite superb. New clutch/fly taking some getting used to.

ABS still FUBAR'd. Suspecting a cracked wire now.
Tyres have delaminated after 1500 miles.

Ahh well, long story there! Basically the guy had a 3sge and he wanted that putting in as its a healthy upgrade in power from the feeble 115 bhp it originally had. he didnt count on the wiring harness on the car being so very different.....its just as well i did and acted accordingly...

I would have done the 3sgte route if he had wanted that but he didnt have one so it had to be that way round.

Have you done any electrical tests from the abs multiplug to the sensors Mr E?

IIRC, you should get something like 169 ohms (not 100% on that exact figure, been a long time and all that.. ) for each of the abs sensors.
If one is down, itll most likely show as a resistance fault or lack of voltage (ac) upon spinning the appropriate wheel.

Ill have a look thru my paperwork and see if i can come up with anything relevant for you.....got nowt else to do!

Tyres are a cause for concern tho! Been doughnutting mate?

Thanks Dude. All sensors are good - nice square wave off them when we spin the wheels. ECU looks sane.

Must be a cracked wire. She's going to Mr T.
