I am aged over 60 and lucky to have a brand new 20 plate Suzuki Swift Sport

It has a screen split into 4 windows
Top left = radio
Bottom left = sat nav
Top right = connect phone - sorted that as J5 galaxy is connected when in car

Now to the confusing one …. Bottom right
It says - no smartphone connected - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

If I remember correctly, that's the menu option for Android Auto / Apple Car Play. Options should appear if you connect your phone via the USB port in the centre console.

oilslick is correct.

Its for Android Auto. (think you need to download app) Connect your phone via a usb cable and after a few seconds it should go full screen google maps at first then you get options of all different things to do. I personally find it much better than the built in sat nav.

Agreed. Download Android Auto on your phone. Connect it to the car using the USB socket. It pop's up as available in the lower-right quadrant. Tap it... that's it - you're in.

Never have - unless you count getting to over 100mph ONCE in every new car I have had on an empty motorway
