JDM imported cars in the UK and the London ULEZ
Discussion
I own a 1999 Mitsubishi Pajero Mini. This is a JDM import. It is a "kei car" meaning that it has a tiny 650cc turbocharged petrol engine.
I live within the forthcoming (October 2021) expanded ULEZ and I am wondering how to find any information / specs on what my car's emissions actually are?
The Transport For London "ULEZ checker" web page tells me it is not compliant (compliant for petrol cars = Euro 4).
The Euro 4 emissions limits for petrol vehicles are:
CO – 1.0 g/km
HC – 0.10 g/km
NOx – 0.08
PM – no limit
But they are basing this purely on age.
I wonder if there is a web site somewhere that would have emissions information for this make and model of car?
All suggestions gratefully received!

Thanks for this.
I have had a read on the other thread, which is made unnecessarily complicated by all this off-topic guff about whether "Jap" as an abbreviation for "Japanese" is or is not rude!
I suppose that what I was hoping for was a link to any site that listed environmental "performance" for different makes and models of different manufacturing dates in Japan.

I suspect you'll have great difficulty finding that info and it will be impossible to get approved even if it meets emission requirements.I have had a read on the other thread, which is made unnecessarily complicated by all this off-topic guff about whether "Jap" as an abbreviation for "Japanese" is or is not rude!

The alternative is to sell it to me! I've always wanted a pajero mini !
Even if it were not JDM, I expect it would be most unlikely to get it accepted for the ULEZ.
Cars registered prior to 1st March 2001 often do not have any emission data recorded on the V5c. It became obligatory when the VED regime changed from engine capacity to emission banding. Some manufacturers had begun declaring it before but not all.
It's not purely on date, I have a 2004 that passes the ULEZ if I put the reg into the checker:
