So the rear stepped out the other day on the S2K, it was wet, these things happen. Unfortunately hit a kerb and damaged the alloy - below. The tyre wall took some of the impact. I just blew air back into it and it popped back onto it's beading and no air loss. Will get the alloy repaired, however worried about the other components being damaged/ miss-aligned. Impact was around 10mph max.. I am getting a slight pull on the steering to the left, so think it has knocked out the geo..

Back in September, I had the geo set up by Wheels in Motion down in Chesham, however as the car is in the Midlands currently, thinking of taking it to Center Gravity, however keep hearing stories they are a little on the pricey side, as I know they are big on Porsche set up..Their standard health check is £200, I paid less than that to get the geometry done with WIM, anyone had any experience with COG? don't want to get ripped off..

£200 for a suspension/ geo "health check" ? You must be mad.

The bloke I take my cars to does a free "health check", checks the alignment and then asks what you want to do given the current settings.
The alignment could be out, within manufacturers tolerance or could be made better.
Your choice what to do.

He uses the latest Hunter machine and is very well regarded amongst enthusiasts.

£ 200 ? Really ? For a health check ? I pay £60 for a 4 wheel alignment if it needs adjusting and nothing if it doesn't.

He's about 100 miles away from you so probably not worth travelling the distance.

If you just want it checking take it to Kwik Fit ! They have Hunter machines now.
You can't go wrong with a check ( adjustments are a bit different).

get underneath it and measure components on one side then comapre against the other - it will be obvious which bits need to be replaced.

with new parts fitted, get geometry sorted. have it done in less than a day and that includes collecting the new bits, keeping the kids happy, making a snadwich and so on.

just get on with it and have your car back.
