No, it looks like a wide bodied mk 2 diesel. Evo's had a sort of double bonnet scoop.

Didn’t realise the std had the boxy arches

IIRC they had narrow and wide bodied versions for both the lwb and swb second generation, hence the box arches to cover the wider track.
