Verifying the history of a JDM?

I'm looking to buy a jdm impreza imported in 2015 that doesn't come with any jap history, how can I verify the history and mileage?

A HPI check is indicating it's a subaru legacy so that's obviously no use, what does a BIMTA check involve?

Will it tell me anymore than ''verifying the odometer reading'' for the £84 they charge?

is good for imports, get the vin.. it's like £25 and takes a few hours but reports are usually very useful as far as damage, export mileage etc goes.

I've used this recently for my toyota crown import and it brought back a lot of useful info, including mileage in japan, auction sheet etc.

Had my report for my Altezza a few weeks ago, and came with mileage history, locations of tests, auction reports and even auction pictures from its last auction in Japan.

I think they just grab all they have..

my crown has bits from 2003(manufactured/registered etc) then bits in 2007 and 2012.. and 2016 auction pictures/sheets.
