JDM car parts in UK
Discussion
Hi, is there a secret to finding compatible parts in the UK?
Currently looking for brake discs and pads. I thought I'd be able to put in the part numbers and up pop a list of cars using the same parts. Then just order the UK model parts. But it seems not quite so easy.
Only discs I can find are from amazon Japan, even after finding a website to cross referencing the part numbers.
Any tips? My first JDM car, don't think there are many over here.
Car is a Toyota Sienta 2005, MPV. I found these part numbers
Brake Disc TOYOTA 43512 52070
TRW DF7339
I found some pads on eBay using the above method, but discs seem a bit more difficult. So no idea where to look if something major breaks.
Thanks

Thanks, I did find that link for the part numbers. Great site for exploded drawings.
I phoned the nearest Toyota main dealer today, they managed to find the parts, but won't arrive until 10 sept. So looks like they had to order from overseas, so it wasn't just my lack of google skills not finding UK parts.
Tbh quite surprised how good Toyota were, didn't think they'd be interested in helping with a 14yo import...

I find ebay to work well, dump the part number in and you can find a lot of listings.. eurocarparts etc do not have much.I phoned the nearest Toyota main dealer today, they managed to find the parts, but won't arrive until 10 sept. Nissan were great (apart from one garage) when digging out and ordering parts for my R33... the shocks arrived in 3 days during that snowy moment in March a couple of years ago.
Toyota will be able to get some parts but quite a few bits are "restricted to Japan, so we can't order them" which is abit annoying.

I like that.I just ordered all sorts of oddments I've been struggling to source, even by my son in Japan. I like the way you just click on the part number on the drawing and it opens up a window with the price and a suppliers add to basket. Easy!
