JDM Combe – Roll call?
Discussion
Great day!
I even managed to bag the 14:45 track slot off a guy who didn't pass the sound test for £20 – so that was a result.
Video here if anyone is interested – https://youtu.be/vbX5Z99HsJg
(My second time on track, so go easy on me! haha, commentary by my rather excited passenger Dave )

I am so sunburnt! Cracking day, shame the first drifting session got cut short, but I hope the driver was OK.
JDMCombe delivered as usual, although the show crowd seems to be getting more redneck by the year (and I don't mean from the sun burn)!!!
Managed to spot a few of your guy's cars too.

Haha, I put cream on my head but neglected the arms. Result is the visual effect of me wearing a white t-shirt, with no t-shirt required…JDMCombe delivered as usual, although the show crowd seems to be getting more redneck by the year (and I don't mean from the sun burn)!!!

I didn't see the first accident, but I saw the driver and car in the pits immediately after and he was fine. I even saw the car going back out a few hours later with the front end rebuilt (albeit mostly gaffa tapes and cable ties), and the back end pieced together with no lights.
Crowd seemed okay to me! Too much 'stance' in places for my taste but plenty of authentic and tasteful builds to gawp over. Track sessions weren't too busy either.

No I didn't actually? Got any links?Did you see or hear about the lad in the civic who's engine bay caught fire?! there are a couple of vids on the JDMcombe FB page.
I'm not actually sure what I did with the day haha, didn't see any of the stands round the back behind camp, didn't walk down as far as quarry. Kind of stayed around the main area, watched some track action on the main straight(bend), and sat at camp for a bit. Did the, briefing, sound testing, 14:45 track slot and then watched a little of the drifting and got going.

Absolutely loved it, always enjoy coming to Combe and was my first ever Japanese car show years ago. Caught up with some old friends and made some new ones. Will have some pictures up eventually but my camera-wielding-skills are woeful.
Was your Crown up by Quarry? I think i saw it.It certainly was a fantastic day. No CombeFace or burn for me, I must have stopped back at the car 3 or 4 times to top up on factor 30 and drank a gallon of water - unlike two of my mates who were red raw & suffering from the heat.
I spotted Tommo's Crown but no sign of the man himself - will you be attending Santa Pod Jap Show this weekend?
I thought I spotted another Crown parked up in the first grass area before Folly surrounded by Lexus IS200s. There was also what I think was a Nissan Fuga or Infiniti G37 which caught my attention.
As you'd expect loads of cool cars , the yellow NSX in the paddock was gorgeous, I could have dribbled over that all day. A special mention for the chap with the burgundy/maroon coloured RX7 that was out in the last drift session, not just a stunning car , it had a rather good pilot!!!!!
I was with the Yellow Toyota Altezza that was parked behind Camp - picture is from " Kernow Paparazzi " facebook.com/pg/KernowPaparazzi/ - he has plenty more shots from the day.
Please note I DO NOT have those stupid tinted number plates it must be a dodgy shadow.

I remember the first time I went to Combe back when it was Japfest I boiled my nose in the sun and have since learnt my lesson!
According to my mates fit bit we did somewhere in the region of 12,000 steps andstill didn't get to see all the cars Sorry didn't see you, although I did have a nice chat to Red_Devil who was around my car when I was pigging out on lunch!
I did see your Altezza though, such a lovely car I almost bought one but then bought something terrible and European
Anyway my pics are up on flickr, here are my favourites:

Not planning to do many more shows this year as have other commitments, but I am planning to do Japfest and JDM Combe again next year.
