2010 WRX Hatchback

Hey guys,
Looking at changing our MG ZS to a more modern family car with a bit of poke. I have really narrowed it down to either a Mk2 Focus ST3 or a WRX (Can't afford the STI and don't need that sort of performance).
I have read that the 2010 WRX came with few more extras over the older model and shared the same wide body as the STI. However all for sale seem to be the older slim body, is this a USA/JDM thing?
