I've been quite impressed with the latest offerings from the Mazda, Toyota and Honda in the hatchback market. Hopefully a few sportier ones make it to our shores, the Corolla GR Sports just seems to be styline exercise which is a shame because in Japan a few of them come with some mild fettling.

It's a good looking car.

As above it's a shame we don't get the larger engines over here.

2.0 petrol with 120 BHP is chucked in most of them ( 2.0 165 BHP upgrade is very rare ).

It's also a shame Mazda have opted for a torsion beam set up rather than fully independent suspension on the new car.

On the plus side it's good to see Mazda sticking with larger CC engines rather than a sewing machine with a turbo strapped to it.

Cheers for the link.
