Time to change the wife's car and one that she likes the look of is the Infiniti Q30. There aren't many second hand petrols which probably explains the variable pricing but it looks like you can pick them up cheaply compared to a 1 series or an A3 (yes I know they're not as good).

I also thought I'd do a quick check on CarWow as they're not available through any of the brokers I looked at and I got exactly the same quote for PCP and cash from all 5 dealers so I assume that pricing for new cars is centrally controlled and that the dealers aren't Franchises?

Anyone got any thoughts on these?

Had a q50 for 2 years and it was a great car. Thoroughly uneventful though. Well built, well specced and reliable.
Dealers are few and far between but experience with them was good if a little expensive.
I leased and got a much better deal than the dealers could offer. Dealers also seem to hold up their 2nd hand prices. If you can find a car outside the dealer network it will be substantially cheaper in my experience..

Thanks for your reply and good to hear of your experience.

To me it looks the same, well spec'ed, well trimmed and, hopefully, well built, cars that are thoroughly dull available at a decent price. Sounds like the perfect option for my wife!

Agreed on second hand prices at dealers but outside of that they seem decent, especially at other brands dealers!

Bought one 2 years ago on a really cheap PCP mix of Mercedes GLA class interior and Nissan Renault engines, looked since and the deals are gone they wanted to sell a few to get them on the road and now are very expensive, we handed it back, no problems with the car reasonable servicing comfortable have a look at the GLA same car with Mercedes badge, built in the UK and would recommend the petrol 1.6 turbo

All the dealerships are owned by Infiniti as I found out by trying to play one off against another so that makes sense

Thanks, there were still deals available that I thought were reasonable at the weekend and not quite all the dealerships are Infiniti owned, i think it's 7 Infiniti owned and 5 independent.

That said sadly after the announcement yesterday I won't be buying one now unless it's a ridiculously good deal as prices will plummet now.
