Talk to me about th Suzuki Swift 1.4 please

My wife has had an SX4 for quite a number of years ad likes it although I find it underpowered.

I'm idly considering a return to hillclimbing in the roadgoing up to 1400 class and was thinking maybe Panda 100HP as a cheap base but then wondered about the Swift (Sport?)

Don't quite get the model references SZ3/4 etc but thinking a car around 2006 -2010 would be in my price range (ie as little as poss but up to £2k).

94bhp as standard, what are the performance options, engine, suspension, brakes, that will make this model a contender?

Are you sure that there's a 1.4 in the (European) Swift? I think there might have been one in the Indian market, but not here.

My error, there seems to have been a 1.3 or 1328cc?

M13A in the earlier models 2006-2010 or so. You might be able to tune it with some aftermarket parts and bits from the M16A.
