I was on holiday to Tokyo, Japan during my Christmas week, I had a hire car it was a Honda Fit (Jazz) 1.5 VTEC CVT with 4WD year 2005, I was absolutely fall love with it. At end of my holiday I flew back to home in UK and start to search used cars of same model then I did not realise the 1.5 from 2002 to 2007 did not sold in UK only 1.3 Jazz with FWD!
I was very disappointed. Now it makes me wonder if is possible to import one of Fit to here in Britain? is that really a cheap to ship? how much do you reckon? my mate said it could be up to £4000 for fee of ship and tax.
Do I have go back to Japan deal the car arrange my own ship or someone there in Japan will do the deal buy for me and arrange ship to here???
Do anyone know the best website to deal with this?

Thanks
Fab.

Have a look through this forum and youll find many posts on the costs.

The Fit 4wd from 2005 is actually quite rare so pricing is a bit all over the place but the issue is finding one. Any import agent or company can help you get it but in general you will be talking around £3k to £4k in my opinion.

Here is an example but not from an auction: http://www.goo-net-exchange.com/usedcars/HONDA/FIT...

That would be around £4500 all in covering all the various costs etc

Ive used a number of import agents but done much of the paperwork myself, its not hard but it may be better to try a business to just get it for you. Someone like https://www.torque-gt.co.uk/ would do it im sure but the costs would rise.

One thing to also consider is the Fit RS in either manual or auto as resale will likely be much better than the normal Fit.

Most people will want the manual but it will still attract many more buyers plus you'll get a decent spec and the 1.5 engine. Depends if resale is important or if you plan to keep it.

Imported my Skyline and Crown with these guys, when I get another from Japan I'll be straight back with them!
