Suzuki Jimmy’s, are they all rust buckets?

Have been on the lookout for a Jimny as we live out in the sticks, don’t have a very large wallet could maybe go into of £2500 but every time i find one I check it on the Gov Mot website and nearly every one of them has serious corrosion problems!
Most of them look good body wise but are terrible underneath.
Why do they rust like this and are there any good ones out there?

No. But the prices for the good ones are higher than your budget and the prices of Jimnys are higher than similar age/condition 4x4's of equivalent spec because they are beloved on the off road scene.
