Swift Sport Owners Club

It's not looking good is it.
On going there now - I get a white page with 'Disabled' in the corner.
It looks like it might be down for good. What a shame, because even though it wasn't the most busy of forums - there were still a lot of people that used it... and all of the information it contained is likely now lost forever.

In a way it’s a reflection of how good the swift is. Not much goes wrong and not much needs modifying.
That being said it’d be great to have an owners resource to refer too. I’m also a bit surprised there isn’t more aftermarket for brakes and suspension.
Part of the reason I have a sport is because I like working on it, the design seems to have had home maintenance in mind. However even getting an online guide for a gearbox oil change was difficult, more difficult than using some nouse and just doing it as it turned out.
I’d happily contribute to a special section on PH.

It does look like SSOC isn't coming back any time soon, in which case it's annoying if we've lost it as a resource. If it does come back, I'll be a bit wary about relying on it. I'm hoping that for anything important/useful, I'll have commented on the thread and have some of the text in my "new post" email notifications.
https://swiftowners.uk/ is still live, though their security certificate has expired and the site is quiet.
The Facebook group just isn't the same. It might be useful to start a few threads on here for the different models (HT81S, ZC31S, ZC32S, ZC33S) so that we can exchange information. It could make sense to split these into owners experiences, technical/how-to & mods.
The other thought I had is that there isn't really an English language resource for these, so it might be worth putting some of the technical documentation on Github, in a format that's a little bit wiki like.

As you say a lot of good information has been lost which is a real shame.
I wonder if the site owner was in financial difficulty I for one would have contributed a few Shekels to keep it running I'am sure other members would do the same...all they had to do was ask instead of just shutting it down with no contact with the members.

Maybe we can get our own section in the PH forums that would be awesome... New model is out now and I think they are selling alright so it should be busy enough? I was only just starting to get into the ssoc forums aswell
Anyone know what the procedure is to get a PH sub forum created? The SSS has a bit of a following, as you said new model is doing OK -- so only thing missing is a forum to chat with some like minded people .I read a bit in the German (suzukimania.de) forum, it is all right but as usual over here lot's of talk about polishing, cleaning, complaining about (paint) quality etc and not so much mods.
Edit: actually the last statement is a bit unfair. There is some good content but availability of parts that carry TÜV approval makes things a bit difficult...

Hi all,
My mrs bought herself a white Swift Sport last year (ZC31s). We both absolutely love it but its really tough to find any decent information on it, especially modifying it. a sub section here (or anywhere really) would really help.
The suspension could do with a refresh so i was thinking of treating it to some shocks or coilovers, but I have no ideal whats good for this chassis and whats not. I think the stock dampers are pretty rubbish, too crashy on b roads.

Sorry can't really contribute personal experience, exactly where a well populated forum (section) would be helpful.
Looks like there are a lot of options for the last 3 gens of Swift Sports... Quick googling shows there's e.g. Koni StrT, Bilstein PSS14 and B12, Tein Street and Flex etc among others. Even a Öhlins R&T available -- that's bound to be good, but 1200+ GBP...

I did see that the Ohlins R&T were available for the car and have no doubt how good they will be, they are pretty expensive and i cant imagine there is much of a second hand market for them if decided to move them on.
Agree, would only do that for "keeper" car. Pretty extreme price wise. But with luck you can find one used? Should, as you point out, be a buyers market.A part from that, pretty lame advice of course, but a set of Bilstein B6 + OEM or not extreme lowering springs should at least work better than what you have now. Would be interesting of course how e.g. the Japanese stuff is (KYB etc) but difficult to find infos...
For modifications, I'd check CTC out Performance, and the Facebook "suzuki sport owners club (www.sssoc.co.uk)" group. I don't think you'll get much sense out of the latter though!
I'm leaving my Swift standard, but the most popular mods seemed to be from CTC / Bilstein / MonsterSport, probably because they're easy to obtain in the UK. IIRC Whiteline ARBs were popular down under.
I think the mods that people were most pleased with were the MonsterSport gearshift polybushes, rear ARBs, camber bolts and CTC remap. Obviously lots of wheels, cosmetic, intake and exhaust mods too.
A word of caution on the Bilstein dampers - the OE spec ones are specified for the 1.2 litre. IIRC the B6/B8s are regarded as being harsh on the road, but good on track.
