I have an imported MR2 with a EML on does anyone know how to turn it off.

Find it hard you can't buy a gizmo of Ebay to do this, main dealer seems reluctant to do it

Is it on for a reason, eg failed sensor?

If so the obvious thing would be to fix it.

You could also just black out the light with tape if the reason it’s on doesn’t bother you.

Its on because it had Air Mass Meter replaced by the previous owner.

I deally II would like to switch it iff, failed its MoT

It's the 3SGE engine i assume?

Removing the -ve battery terminal for 5 minutes will reset the engine management light. If it stays on it's usually the MAF sensor is dirty or has had a knock, they are quite temperamental. Try giving it a clean if that's the case.
