Why Is the 370Z Nismo Overlooked?
Discussion
Is it just me that thinks the Nismo 370Z is a great car?
It is a dying bread with its big NA engine, RWD and manual box at its price point. Yet I never ever see any of these on the road, and sales don't appear to be going that well either.
What is it about these cars that puts people off?

HAving owned the 350z and the 370z....
The 350z Nismo was a highly limited and lightweight car which was different in many ways to the standard car (inc chassis stiffening) .
The 370z nismo has come at a time when Nissan are 'expanding' their Nismo cars and this includes the Nismo Juke which if you asks me hugely cheapens the elusive/ mysterious branding that Nismo once was. It is no longer exclusive and rare as it once was (with the exception of the £125k NIsmo GTR).
The standard car has many, many issues (not particularly fast, too heavy, delayed throttle response, poor sound, lower power for relative size of engine by modern standards, low adjustability of rear end compared to the wonderful 350z....etc).
There are 2 nismo 370z models a Mk1 and 2. The older one looks very 'Halfords' and the newer one is much smarter but at the price people get pulled towards German models I think. Either way, even the exhaust on the Nismo is so dull it needs removing and swapping to sound like the car it should be. This just shouldn't be necessary on this type of car.
Overall the Z line is long in tooth now and needs a hefty re-vamp. I was gutted with my 370z despite trying to address these issues with key subtle mods. They say the new one will be hybrid but haven't heard anything certain yet.....
