Hi all,

Bought my second MR2 a few weeks ago. Had a MK2 a while ago and needed a little runabout, so the MR2 MK3 fit the bill! Great car, really enjoying it.

However...

The alarm (stock Toyota) has a mind of its own. If I use the key fob, the alarm will sound and the lights will go off with it minutes after locking it.

If I lock it manually, it’s usually ok.

I’m going to change the key fob battery to see if that’s the issue, but is there a fuse I could just pull to stop the alarm going off? It’s more embarrassing than anything and I’m not fussed about having a working alarm sound.

Cheers,
Luke
