Who cares as long as you enjoy your car.

Bugger what anybody else thinks.

The way I see it is if someone thinks a car has a soul it's usually because there is so much going wrong with it and it lets them down a lot. Things like a lot of TVR's and older classic cars would fall under this, then you have modern supercars which would have a different kind of soul. But as Danboy says, who cares so long as you enjoy your car.

Yeah...they came to a corner and the Jap car stayed in one piece!!!

Hey...I'm happy...it seems to be an ITR appreciation society over there (although the gen-3 RX7 is probably the prettiest)!!!

There was an ITR parked up on a grass verge on the next road along from mine the other day.

I spotted it too late...

Cue me driving all the way round the block just to have a quick look.

I LOVE them.

Unfortunately, don't think I could give up RWD now and would need more straight line fireworks.

Well, to be honest, a Griff has more character than my S2000, but in three years I've shelled out only £600 in servicing. I can leave the car in the garage for a month over winter, get in and know it will start and run perfectly. It also handles a lot better than any Griff, and point to point is just as quick. I will be able to sell it without much trouble for a decent wedge too.
All in all, I'm quite happy for forego a little character...

Its a subjective question and therefore impossible to prove, if you can't measure it how can you prove it?

Its odd,really odd.Many car owners(any marque)equate a cars' 'defects' as character.
I do understand what they mean about the intangible 'something'.Performance/fun cars are a money pit at the best of times. At the present,I personally, don't need that kind of insecurity.
If one bought an appliance, lets say a TV,its the most beautifully styled & crafted telly you've ever seen. You love it.Unfortunately every time your fave prog comes on;it won't switch on,the sound goes, the picture is fuzzy etc.Would you still be dewy eyed,in love with it?Would you pour buckets of your hard earned into it,knowing the same would happen in a few weeks?
If you enjoy driving a car,ANY car,you put your own'soul' into it,it becomes some kinda partnership-& its that relationship that gives me the warm fuzzies, imo naturally.

Wish I was a bit more textually fluent-as opposed to textually flatulent

I saw one the other day for the first time in ages. Is it the only car ever to look so good in white? He was giving it major stick away from a junction and I managed to get the window down in time to enjoy the Vtec
