Hook thing on Honda CRV picnic table

Yes. The Honda CRV (Mk 1 and 2 iirc) has a built in picnic table. Ingenious? Maybe.

So I was searching online to find out what the little hook and cable are (far left in pic) for but no answers.
I can’t work out what it would be for either.

Is that also the boot floor? The hook is to hold it up while you get the spare/compressor/whatever out from underneath it.

I miss my Mk1 CRV and picnic table, also has a good takeaway hook on the boot door.
