Well, I'm not exactly new and neither is the Nissan, though we both are to this section of the forum. 
2005 X-Trail 2.5 SVE bought as a winter run-around, though I must confess to quite liking it. Absolutely standard apart from a set of nondescript winter tyres (supplied by dealer) though it managed to get through all the crap weather we've recently encountered without a murmur.
No questions to ask and no real work needed on the car, though I will be doing the obligatory fluid changes in the next week or so, transfer box, diff and transmission etc, mainly for my own peace of mind.
