HI All,

So I'm currently obsessing over the Lexus IS F following the article from the other day, always knew of them but not much really about them and now I'm wondering what they are like for daily use\family duties.

I have a E91 330d (230hp & 370lb\ft) currently for family duties, commute is normally 11-12 miles round trip mostly at a steady 40mph (80% DC), weekends can be up to 200 miles depending on family visits\holidays (again mostly DC & M'ways), get 400ish miles from a tank currently obviously the V8 will be lower, how many miles do you usually get from a tank driving "normally", I'm not a "boy racer" but it's nice to have the go when needed and the BMW has plenty.

No real reason to get rid of the BMW, we all love it no major issues, etc but it's not a V8 (a reliable one at that!).

So any observations on living with one? How are they in winter, are winter wheels advisable? Space wise are they comfy (got 9 year old twins), is the boot acceptable and if not I believe you can get roof bars etc?

All info gratefully received!

Do it...

I use mine as a daily. I have a 6 miles round trip - embarrassingly short but I drop my daughter at nursery which is next to my place of work otherwise I would walk/cycle.

This is the worst I have seen my average consumption/range from a tank but this one has purely been town driving.

I usually get around 250 out of tank with combined driving and I have got 400 miles from a tank on a run through Europe.

From a practicality pov. It only has 2 seats in the rear. Should be perfect for 9 year old twins though. I took 4 adults (myself included) to Germany with no complaints from those in the back.

Boot size is ok but seats don't split fold but it does have a ski hatch randomly.

Tyre pov I have ran Conti Sport 6's all year round and never had any issues in all seasons. I do run a wider size of front 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 at the rear.

Good (ISF) Hunting

Best advice on the ISF is probably gained from searching/joining http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/forum/134-l...

They are all a friendly bunch :-)
