Hi All,

As a result of an unbelievably good company car offer (little more than cost of 1yr insurance, tax & servicing) I have got myself an MX-5 1.8i Arctic to replace my ailing Renault 5 campus.

As standard it gets leather, CD, 15" alloys, heated seats & is razor blue colour. It's a snug fit (I'm 6'1 / 17 stone) but I loved the demo car. TBH I would have settled for basic spec but that one was more ££ per month.

Only problem is waiting for 4-5 weeks for delivery

Looks like this one:

You must be gutted I'd have got one for the wife, but I'm marginally longer and slimmer than you and it was just slightly too tight for head room. (She's 6ft with long legs too)

Nice choice!

So its arriving mid May? Excellent time for top down fun!

If you're that way inclined the owners club is good, nice glossy mag now and then, plenty of events etc etc, for more info have a look at www.mx5ocforum.co.uk .

See you in the twisties....

All part of the fun
The sierra had a 2.8 lump in it so could get frisky, was fun in the damp Of course will be taking it a bit easy until used to the car.
I'm like a dog with 2 d1cks & haven't even got it yet!

I wish, it's a company car so no mods I'm afraid. When the lease is up I should be able to afford to buy & will be able to dabble then. Was looking at Mk1 MX5 or Mk2 MR2 until this offer came up, look forward to making decision in 12 months time

Woohoo car has arrived 2 weeks early!
spent the afternoon "working from home" hooning around topless so to speak.
First impressions - great! nice balance to handling, reasonable poke (compared to other car), grinning like a cheshire cat.
