Should I sell my Cerbera to fund a GT-R?

I honestly wouldn't consider the GTR to be a capable daily driver.
They're noisy and unrefined, the gearbox is clunky at low speed and when cold. It's a very mechanical car and makes lots of weird noises.
The front seat is very narrow and not the most comfortable.
Rear seats are pretty useless, even my daughter at 22mths requires the front seat to be pushed forward.
Reversing camera is essential.
Paint isn't great on them, winter salt will eat it.

Hmmm. Interesting feedback. Will need to think on this. I don't do too many miles, maybe 8k per year and my once or twice a week commute is 30 miles on motorway and dual carriage way.
I've got 2 kids, 8 and 10. Sounds like they might not find it comfortable in the back. I think we need to go and test drive a GT-R to see how they get on with the back seats.

I've had TVRs also (Tamora and Tuscan S) but the GT-R is a completely different league in terms of enjoyment.
My kids are 12 and 14 and fit fine in the back of the car - granted my daughter does sit cross-legged behind me due to limited legroom but my 14 year old (and tall with it) son can fit in the rear on the passenger side. When I first bought it I used it every day for a 45 mile round trip commute. No problem at all and would have continued to do so if I didn't also have access to a car with adaptive cruise control (best invention ever!) to deal with the nose-to-tail roadworks across the Forth Road Bridge. One of my colleagues still commutes daily between Glasgow and Livingston in his GT-R Track Edition. So whilst it may not be the most sensible daily commuter, it is most definitely feasible.
Front seats (Recaros) are very comfortable - even for a "well built" bloke >6ft tall.
Rear camera comes as standard on recent models (not sure when that started, but 2014 has a camera). For 2017 the cars all get sensors and camera.
The paint is much better than TVR and no worse than Honda etc. If you're at all concerned then fit PPF or have the car ceramic-coated.
That you've run a Cerb for so many years tells me that you're not prissy about your motors - you don't mind the mechanical aspects of motoring (e.g. noises and clunks) in return for an amazing driving experience. In which case get a GT-R - unlike in TVRs, the GT-R clunks and noises are meant to be there :-)
Just one downside to consider.... after the Cerb you might be a bit disappointed by the standard exhaust noise. But there are myriad aftermarket mods to fix that if you're so inclined :-)
Do it. Get a GT-R. You won't be disappointed.

I've had two cerberas and I'm on my second GTR. All everyday drivers.
I'm 6ft (clearly a well built company director in the finest PH tradition) and have 2 children, 11 (5ft 4) and 14 (6ft) . I can no longer get them both comfortably in the back of the car. However it's only been the last year that we've had a problem with that.
They are utterly excellent cars, yes they have their issues, they are a little mechanical but don't let a little gearbox clunking put you off.

PS yes the paint is a bit soft, especially on the black ones. £800 to get it clear covered.
