I am interested in an imported Integra DC5. It is currently unregistered but has been SVA'd already.

If I were to buy it as-is what charges could I get stung for to make it UK legal? Presumably, import duty is paid at the dock?

If it's been SVA'd then it will be UK road legal & will almost certainly be in the country already.

I always promised myself one of these - but never got one!! Any I buy now will have too many owners under its belt now.

DC5 is supposed to be a good'un anyway.

Tuttle, I know it's in the country now. I don't know the procedure so I don't know what additional costs are due. I think they are;

£38 to DVLA for licensing
£165 for a years RFL
The immobiliser that my insurers are insisting on.

I just don't want to get stung for anything unexpected

All the necessary car work,e.i.Kph>mph,fog lights,UK petrol filler neck,UK 'kite-marked' tyres etc should be done by the SVA'er,& cost inclusive.Plates & tracker are an extra really.Transport & documentation costs (if being sold by a dealer) ought to be included in buy price.If its a private sale the same should apply,but you never know,he may try to pass some of his costs on to you.If in doubt-Haggle.

Some info on sva procedure & links to ppls personal experiences,hope it is of some use.

Thanks

I knew about the speedo but didn't even think about tyres. Something to check.

You may find this place useful - have a good rep from what I've heard but never used them myself...
