Suzuki Swift Sport question

A mate of mine who works in a Suzuki dealership tells me that what dealers have in stock now is all that is left so I would strongly recommend getting something sorted quickly as I don't think there are too many cars remaining. You won't regret it, fantastic car.
Cheers!I'm off to the dealership on Saturday so I'll know for certain then. I was hoping there would still be a couple of months left in the old girl. You can still spec new ones on the website, CarWow, AT, etc.
So I contacted the dealer and they said as above, when the current stock is gone it's gone. Trouble is, I don't know what that means. Does it mean they only have pre-registered stuff left or does 'stock' mean what they have built and waiting in a compound somewhere?
Was tempted to wait for the new one but I'm not struck on the looks and engine yet and it could be a long wait. Last article I read said 18 months, and that was written in January. So July 2018. Even a week feels like a lifetime when you're waiting for a new motor!

Damn, I completely forgot to do it so have text my mate to find out. How did you go at the dealer today?
The salesman said Suzuki still have plenty left on stock. He's gonna get in touch on Monday when they have the new APR rates, but reckons they'll stay at 2.9%. Went for a spin out in the car and it was absolutely excellent compared to my Civic, the steering weight was the highlight. The power delivery, although the same humble ~140bhp, was also much better. Had a play with the tech too which wasn't quite iPad-like but was still decent and responsive.

Cool, seems there are a healthy number of cars in the dealer network although Suzuki themselves do not have many left. What colour are you thinking of going for?
I'd prefer the white but all the colours are decent. I didn't fancy black because it's a nightmare for cleanliness, hazing, etc. but the one I went out in was black and looked good, more like a very dark grey. I've got a reasonable figure in mind and if they can do that I'm gonna go for it. Probably start a readers' car thread on it after a couple months if I do.
Well all SSSs are now registered apparently. Had to go for a pre-reg, delivery miles example. Worked out cheaper than a new one, just losing a couple of months warranty which I can live with.
5 door, pearl white or whatever they call it. Should hopefully be picking up next Thursday. Will be taking the scenic route home.

Cheers mate, though I have already read your thread. Any pointers for the car? Pros, cons? Only things I see myself doing in terms of mods is a set of mudflaps for that ultra-cool not-at-all-cringe worthy rally look and the CTC performance intake kit. I'm not really one for heavily modifying cars. Very nice :-)
That photo captures the paint work very nicely. A word of caution - the paint is soft. It scratches very easily, but light scratches also polish out without much effort.
Mine is coming up to 8000 miles, and the gearbox is still loosening up. Unfortunately is out of action right now. I think one of the diodes in the alternator regulator has given up, so it's off to the dealer on Wednesday.
Enjoy, and good luck sticking to the running in schedule!
