1979 Toyota Cressida Parts
Discussion
Hi, I had a similar problem sourcing parts for my Lancer. My only advice would be to try and get original part numbers and cross reference them with other models around at the time and then google them for availability. As far as Mitsubishi goes the vehicles of the era shared a great many parts (Lancers, Starions, Sapporo's and Galants) I would imagine that it is the same with Toyota. Look also for manufacturers sharing parts as well, many of mine also interchange directly with early Hyundai models.
Sometimes you might have to compromise on quality though, Mister Auto seemed to stock a lot of stuff I needed like steering assemblies etc, but trim is always going to be the hardest to find on any Jap classic of that era, It might also be worth checking some of the other Jap classic forums for advice, and even trying to contact Toyota themselves. There is a popular classic scene in Japan at the moment for anything 80's and retro.
HTH.
