Micra K11C - What Am I In For?
Discussion
Hi all,
Looking for some owner experiences with the K11C Micra.
My next career adventure is a little further from home than would make sensibly economical to run my other two cars, therefore I decided upon a "beater" to get me from A-B, then back to A again in the evening.
I came across a local, one owner K11C Sport+ which I thought would be novel to run given the old lady image, for a short time until I replace with some kind of turbo-diesel estate...so I bought it there and then. Turns out I haven't had such hair raising fun at 40mph in a long time and I'm quite fond of keeping it, despite looking obscure in it as a well built 20-something guy.
The car is up together, starts on the key and gets the job done. But what are the main failures to look out for? It'll cover approx. 25-30k per year and I believe (hope) this was still the golden age of Nissan reliability.
Edit: I'm a pretty avid car Detailer in my spare time, so I decided to cut it back a little to see what I had. A couple of dents aside, it's very clean, albeit has NEVER seen polish, let alone clay. I think I'll go in with the little guns, Meguiars 105, it's a snotter after all.
