Not sure how I feel about personalised plates;have seen ones that make me cringe & some that have had me in fits of laughter.
Have been offered:
8O5SSKY or BOSS SKY
For under £500.00,which,as plate prices seem to go,is quite reasonable.Bit ostentatious tho, mind you so is a skyline.
And £500.00 buys my next set of tyres too.

Opinions plz

Judging by the 572 posts here:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=126638&f=23&h=0&p=1

I'd guess plenty of people like em.

I guess if you like em get one, if you don't, don't

My present plate includes GTR-Backwards!
Boss sky is a bit 'toughie' I'd prefer 'quite a nice sky actually' as a plate--bugger to remember tho

That's lame.

Go kill what? Small furry animals?

Sorry, but I think that's just a bit on the gay side.

I have 7844 UZ, means nothing to me what so ever. But it'll cost me £80 to get rid of it.

I quite fancy getting G74 WRC for mine (GT4 WRC). Saw it for £450 with DVLA. But then, thats a blitz boost controller and a dumpvalve!!

Some I like, some I think are arrogant tosh.

All IMO obviously

Personalised plates, complete lack of taste I would say, in my humble opinion.

The three letters on my current car are "TSO" and the last one "PST". Maybe not the best.

I do have OIL **** (forgotten what the numbers are) on retention if anyone wants to make me an offer!

I'm okay with personal plates; however have you seen that Men and Motors dedicated to number plates?

I think it may be called Number Plate Heaven. Now that's something you don't want to add to your Sky+ schedule!!

I always think that car specific plates are better than "you don't know these are my initials" type plates.

So, for me, my Corvette's LV51FER is worth the money I paid as it adds to the car's appearance but Gladys Daphne Pugh's G62 GDP is just another plate on the road.

Plates with CTR in a Civic Type R would be OK although possibly not worth the money. I actually picked up a cheap car with a plate something like VBH 55K and transferred it over so it cost nothing and no-one knew my initials weren't VBH.
