..........Attempting to aquire a certain V6 3.0 litre 24 valve quad cam Camry engine to go into? The second GT4!

Coupled with some suitable internal mods such as new pistons to drop the CR to a more useful 8.5/8.8 depending on calculations, i should be able to run either a single ct26 from a supra or maybe a bi-turbo setup with one turbo for each bank.
Projected output? Well standard is around 207 hp so with say 13/16 psi of boost i should be able to get easily close on to 400, maybe much more with the nitrous....

So there ya have it, another one to play with.
Best of all itll be 4wd and weighs less than the standard lump plus...V6 howl!
Yummy!

Excellent project dude!
Is compr of 8.5/8.8 the norm for this type of v6?At 1st glance,it sounds low enough to run masses of boost thru without inherent knock/piston melting probs
I'm most interested at your choice of blowers & your trials & tribulations fitting them-as I'm about to take on a similar proj(at last).
Keeps us updated, pics too,plz if poss.
All the best chap!

Thanx for that Tuttle!
The cr is normally 10.5 iirc so it has to come down, so i'll be off to the forged piston shop for some JR's.
Havent made a firm comittment on the turbo arrangements yet as space may yet prove to be a problem, although really it shouldnt be.
As i now have two gt4 intercoolers to play with i could have a separate cooler for each bank, easily within the flow rates for this size and saves buying any too! (bonus!).
Will get some pics up as soon as i have the motor in my possession!

Cool, have you sourced an engine yet,Or scouting around for a suitable donor? I like the idea of an I/C(converted to air/air?) for each bank, you have space to front mount,or will they have to go horizontal or diagonaly behind bumper(ahead of fr wheels) oops getting ahead of meself in my excitetment

Should be an excellent driving combination, putting the extra oomph thru the 4wd.

Delta, you're nuts.

The record for 'stupid engine in a ST185' currently belongs to an Aussie.

4 litre V8 with 2 blowers. And RWD.

You might have a chance of beating that.

Me nuts? I truly hope so!
See the V8 from a lexus wont go in transversely so thats why hes used it in rear drive config.
The V6 on the other hand WILL go in transversly and then i can retain my excellent 4wd!
Itll even mount to the standard GT4 gearbox with only the flywheel needing a mod or replacement!
Other mods are just ONE engine mounting fabbing up (easy peasy) and exhaust manifolds and pipes.

Now you see the relevance to my previous reference of "Project 6".

A GT6!

Hmmm. I think the 4 relates to number of driven wheels.

I'd go for something like Toyota Celica-Delta

You may need to mount a large net around the car.To catch the bits flying gearbox

Standard gearboxes are pretty reliable up until about 500hp then ill fit the net!

Update.

The engine i had in mind turned out to be a million miler(or close to it) and a dog.
So i didnt buy it!

However, ive got a quote coming for another one of 97-98 vintage for the princely sum of 650 squids inc ecu and harness.
