2005 2.2DCI X-Trail turbo failure

I'm told the turbo bearings have failed are there is inlet impeller damage.

How likely is it that the intercooler will collect the fragments before they enter the engine though the inlet manifold? have only drive at low revs a short distance since failure?

Also any recommendations where I could get a new turbocharger?
