Landcruiser 3rd Brake Light Problem

Hi all.
I'm not sure if this is the best section for this topic, but here goes;
The third brake light on Dad's 1998 Toyota Landcruiser is stuck on low power whenever he turns his lights on. When he brakes, the light brightens to full power, as normal, then goes back to staying on a low power.
I've said to him it must be a dodgy connection somewhere, but I wouldn't have the first clue where this might be.
Anyone got any suggestions?
