I just purchased a (very) secondhand Forrester Turbo mainly as a tow car for my Caterham. Came with a reasonable looking warrantee. Unfortunatly I need to start on the warrantee as 5th keeps jumping back into neutral. I also got a check engine warning light after a couple of hours of fast motoring.

I float around between Reigate in Surrey and Sidcup in Kent, so if anyone can recommend a decent independent that I can start to form a (long term probably) relationship with for repairs and servicing around those areas that would be great.

Take a look here: http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=392376&highlight=surrey .

Do an advanced search on http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk putting the keyword as the area you are interested in and select to only search the Dealer and 3rd party section.

You could also just stick a post on Scoobynet as well.

Hopefully, that little lot should turn up something useful

Had an Impreza that had the check engine warning light come on every so often. Turned out to be the lambda sensor. Cost 180 quid at a main stealer The bad thing was the sensor is only about 50 quid - you can find them on the net, but unfortunately I had to get it done there and then as it had just failed its MOT on emissions (a week before Christmas ). It probably isnt that difficult to do yourself.

There is a specialist called Subaru4you based in Thatcham who are supposed to be very good (never used them) - they are on the net at subaru4you.co.uk
