when I took the car to the garage, it was touch and go whether I had enough petrol.

So when I picked it up, they'd test driven it and also ran it on the ramp for half an hour.

So it had fumes in and thats it.

So to cut a long story short, I had to fill up on the way home.

With 'regular' 95 RON.

From a supermarket

I feel so dirty.

But i only put £5 in and then topped up with optimax ASAP!

Should never run a car out though. Theres often a while bunch of crap at the bottom of the tank that you don't want through the engine....

Yeah I know, I wasnt expecting them to take it on a test drive using muchos boostios, and then run it on the ramps for ages!

Turns out I've got a boost leak....which is nice, cause I'll get even more power when thats fixed!

Its prolly a good Idea not to have much gas in the tank.Every time I take the car to the garage,it comes back empty. No matter how much was in the tank when I arrived.

True, but that's why we have cheap, replaceable fuel filters

Back in my Saxo days, my car came back from servicing/repairs/MOT with hardly any fuel at all, and they never even cleaned it.
But the old giffer with his xantia gets his delivered, fully valeted, cos his service was free!!

That why I like Rogue's idea of having a webcam, so you can wacth what they are up to.

Its a great idea isn't it?

Rogue Cam

When they move to their new property they will have two lifts, and two cams - labelled up "Bay 7" and "Bay 14" so they look like a huge operation!

Thats what I like to hear.
Especially if my current plan happens, a 3S-GTE specialist that close would be a godsend.

I cant reveal too much (because I probably wont go ahead with it), but it envolves 2 more GT4's (of varying ages/specs).
One for everyday, and one for track/tinkering.
But it may also envolve selling the Carlos Sainz

I am in the process of deciding what to do, have a couple of test drives planned, and a quick budget to sort out. Then all will be revealed.

Who said over 300bhp lightweight trackday car???
