Does anyone have any recommendations for a mechanic near Bournemouth who knows MX5s (it's an import - not sure if that makes much difference.) An MX5 driving friend is moving down there and I'm trying to persuade her not to sell it.

An import is no different to uk one. + any good mechanic will be able to look after it as they are not at all tricky to maintain.

That's what I said, but she's worried it's going to go pop in an expensive manner.

So I guess the next question is, does anyone know a reliable mechanic in or around Bournemouth? (Time for a move to GG methinks)

Is it highly tuned or has it been badly neglected? Can't see why a stock car should go pop...

Not at all, it's completely standard and low mileage (As far as you can tell with no history from Japan). When I pushed her she said that nothing has gone wrong with it she's just worried it will:shrugs:

It's an MX5. If it breaks, it'll be a pretty exceptional one!
