Just ordered my new wheels, thinking it would not be a problem to just tell direct line i had changed them, possibly having to pay a little extra. How wrong i was. They said i could not change the wheels untill i am 25 (only 21 now). I have tried adrian flux and elephant, but the premiums alot more than direct line. Any suggestions. I have no no claims bonus at present as i have been on my dads insurance for the last four years, and have just moved to direct line on my own. Yes, i have made the threat of leaving and had no joy. Any suggestions?. may have some really nice 17 inch TSW volcanos for sale in the near future if its too late to cancel them.

Dorset insurance do a MR2 Owners club scheme.

They extend the same deal to the GT4OC and have been very good so far. Tell them James from the GT4OC sent you.

Also try GSI, who look like winning it this year.

Cheers for that. Is that the MR2 owners club, or the drivers club, coz i am in the owners club but not the drivers club.

Cheers.

Current feeling on the MR2OC (not the DC mind) is that Dorset are a bit toss.

Lol, when I was getting quotes for the tubby, I was expecting them to quote me happy. They quoted £4700!

p.s. Keep up informed about the volcanoes.

Will do Flibbs. There bloody nice wheels, and looked really nice when i offered them up to the car (silver rev 3), just didnt want to drive with invalid insurance. Trouble is, knowone could touch direct line when i first got the car.

If i dont have any joy tomorrow with the scammers...., i mean...... insurers, and the shop wont have them back they may well be in the classifides!

One of the many reasons GT4OC are moving to GSI.

I mention Dorset only because they're import and mod friendly. Ish.

I think things have changed as some people were taking the pisch.

I had a stage three hybrid turbo, boost controller, 17" rims, filter, SS exhaust etc etc and it made negligable difference to my premium.
