I bet this flies!!!

Nice - but given the dramatic ramp up of torque between 4,000 and 4,500 rpm with not much below, I wager to guess the high peak power has been achieved at the expense of flexibility. I'd say this is a typical graph for a small engine/big turbo configuration, and the on/off character of the power delivery will seriously affect driveability on a mid engined car.
On give and take roads, I bet a properly tuned 300ish bhp example with a rather broader power band would give this car a run for its money. I'm guessing this car was built for show/quarter mile work, not so much for 'serious' road driving.

I had a play with a Group A spec Sierra with a power graph rather like this one. Nasty, nasty car to drive. How they ever raced them is testament to the drivers talent.
Goes to show that out and out HP figures never tell the story. Torque curves tell it all.
Nicely put together though, if a little colourful for my taste.
