I've dropped on a set of huge 4 pot AP calipers and discs and need some 19" alloys to clear the calipers.

I am looking at 19x8.5j ET 45 5x114.3 and want a lightweight wheel, something like Work Emotion CR Ultimate (Kiwami) would be my first choice. RAYS/Advan etc would all be possibilities if I could find them at the right price.

Has anyone imported wheels direct from Japan? The prices seem on the high side for anything Japanese and lightweight, and from a small number of retailers in the UK.

They certainly are, I'm very envious of the choice the yanks have. The only thing I've had imported were my Wedssport TC105Ns, which I bought through Nengun. The wheels themselves were well priced at £850, centre caps for £100; shipping set me back £260, £45 CC fees (paid on card for protection), £340 duty paid to DHL UK.

Nengun catalogue seems to be sparse for wheels and lots of types of parts, though I think they'll help you source things. Japanparts are one import site that will definitely do this. I know very little about importing from Japan beyond that.

Most of the Work Emotion wheels are fairly easy to find in the UK, though I don't think the Kiwamis are. I understand Work are fairly dense, sovery tough but not as light as others though. I've seen a number of UK suppliers for Rays/Volk, though usually POA and expensive as you said. I'm not aware of an Advan supplier if there is one.

Imports from the US might be an option. RAVSPEC and Vivid Racing will both ship to the UK.

If 18" is at all suitable, some Weds wheels have appeared over here recently.

I'll check out Rinkya.

JDM Distro only have Volk TE37 and quite pricey.

Work Emotion Kiwami are available at Driftworks, for a reasonable price I guess.

Must be 19" to clear my brake upgrade.
