I've got a problem. It's in the shape of a slightly scruffy low mileage(29k) 54 plate red ignis sport. I like the car, it's cheap to run and never let me down in five years. Thing is I'm a bit bored of it now and would like to change for a scooby Impreza or Foz XT. Obviously I would need as much out of this car as possible but they aren't worth much as a whole car ( or are they? All ebay ads seem to be classified ads so not easy to see final selling price). Is there much call to break these cars or would I be stuck with a whole car minus its seats !! Just looking at options at the moment. Any thoughts appreciated thanks jim

I'd be surprised if there's enough demand to make it worth breaking really. Probably just a lot of effort on your part only to have various bits of the car sat in your garage for years.

Must be worth at least £1500 if in decent condition (or a bit more), just sell it and put it towards something else.

Although really you'd be best keeping it as the Ignis Sport is the greatest car known to man and there is no possible way you will find anything better to replace it with.

If it's not worth much and you like the cheap running you may want to keep it alongside an Impreza. The costs of Impreza running are eye watering to something like the Ignis.

The problem with the Ignis Sport is that no one recognises them - I had one about 3 cars ago and it actually won SOTW. It was a bit scruffy with about 60k (I can't remember the exact mileage) and I ended up letting it go for about £850 to someone who didn't even know what it is. For the money I sold it for it's a fantastic car. I'd agree with keeping it alongside a more powerful car as the car itself is cheap fun.

I later got a Yaris T-Sport, I still miss my Ignis, it had so much more character.
