Nissan micra k11..scrap or repair gearbox?
Discussion
Hi folks,
Newbie here.
Just wondering what your thoughts were on whether to scrap or repair a 14 year old nissan micra k11 that is in reasonable condition
while changing the c.v boot, I must have got a bit carried away and damaged the gearbox as the car will no longer go into gear. The gearchange will work but does not engage the driveshafts.
Should I scrap it or look at getting the gearbox fixed?
Many thanks in advance for any information/opinions

Thanks for the reply bud.
U jacked the car up on the subframe and had it on had axle stands under the subframe.
After I reconnected the drive shaft, I turned the driveshaft manually and heard a rumble coming from where the drive shaft goes into the gearbox and then it stopped rumbling. Tried putting it in gear but the driveshafts don't seem to want to engage in the gearbox..boo hoo

After I jacked the car back down onto the ground,. for some strange reason the driveshafts engaged with the engine again
I may have miss aligned something in the gearbox while banging the driveshaft back in. Then it realigned itself when back on the ground
Thanks for all your help folks
