Yes,its still mechanically an MR2-just looks different now,so its hardly,imo,wasted.Its not my 'thang' either but he likes it.Its hardly a Burberry special.
There was a post a coupla months ago of two Jap guys that modded an NSX to look like a 'Rarri(iirc).All the work up stages photo'd.The amount of labour that goes into this kind of project deserves credit in itself.

He did it purely for egotistical purposes so people like him more and not for the thrill of driving.
He therefore, should be shot.
